Chaos at Melbourne airport after security breach

Chaos descended on Melbourne Airport with a security breach on Tuesday morning causing massive delays.

Thousands of sidelined passengers had to be screened again after one passenger managed to completely bypass security.

In a report Qantas said a person “inadvertently entered the terminal without security screening”, forcing some passengers to get off planes and wait in long lines.

“As a precaution, all Qantas operations have been suspended and terminal passengers are being screened again, resulting in delays to some services this morning.”


Almost a dozen flights were delayed, while a flight from Gold Coast was cancelled.

Flow effects are expected to occur at airports across the country throughout the morning.

Travelers have taken to social media to express their frustrations with their now on hold plans!

A similar similar incident happened last month at Sydney Airport when a passenger bypassed security.
