2 dead, 3 injured in night shootings

Two people were killed and several others injured in gunfire across the city on Friday evening and Saturday morning.

Before 11 p.m. Friday, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police officers were called to the 1300 block of North Bolton Avenue, near the intersection of 16th Street and Arlington Avenue in the eastern part of the city, where they found a shot dead person inside a vehicle, according to an IMPD statement. Release.

Some time before 1 a.m. on Saturday, officers responded to a report in the 3100 block of Bonham Drive, near the intersection of 30th Street and Lafayette Road in the northwest of the city, where they have again found a shot dead person.

Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Three other people were injured in shootings on Friday evening.

Before 9:30 p.m. Friday, officers found two people shot dead near East 21st Street and North Ritter Avenue. These victims were taken to hospital and found to be in serious condition on Friday evening. Before midnight, a victim entered a downtown hospital with visible gunshot wounds. The police did not provide any information regarding their condition.
